Barnutopia is a gay-friendly wedding venue located in the stunning Shropshire countryside. Same-sex couples who choose our lovely site for their equal marriage can expect to be treated with friendly dignity and respect at all times. Whether you are bride and bride, groom and groom or life partners, we are here to help make your wedding a special and memorable occasion in the best possible way.

We received planning permission to expand as a wedding and event venue at the end of summer 2016 and hosted our first wedding in the summer of 2017. For a bit of added excitement, we were selected for a new British prime time TV series following several new businesses through their first year. Pitched as a warm and positive series, ITV’s “Give It A Year” with Baroness Karren Brady was completed during 2017. Our episode first aired on Monday, 14th May, 2018.

Gay-Friendly Wedding Venue

gay-friendly wedding venue rainbow heartWe are listed on Pink Wedding Venues, a wonderful website dedicated to gay-friendly wedding venues. They say that they still come across venues that do not want to be seen as gay venues. How very sad for those venues. We are delighted to host same-sex weddings and members of the LGBTQ+ community are welcome at Barnutopia at any time.

For further details on our pricing and facilities please see our wedding venue page. Feel free also to give a call any time to discuss how we can make your wedding day fabulous. With optional glamping accommodation you could make a weekend of it and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Welsh borderlands before starting your life of wedded bliss.

Thanks to my friend Sean-Eric and Keith and brides Rachel and Rachel (see The Day of the Rachels) for allowing me to use their pics.
