Barnutopia Luxury Glamping is expanding as a wedding and event venue for up to 120 guests. The 5-star glamping site plans to refurbish its long cattle barn as a rustic venue for couples who want something different, beautiful and affordable.
OSWESTRY, UNITED KINGDOM, March 22, 2017 – The Shropshire glamping site, Barnutopia, has received full planning permission to expand its glamping site and convert its long cattle barn into a wedding and event venue for up to 120 guests. New glamping units have been added, a bathroom block is underway and the wedding barn improvements have started. Currently, the barn can accommodate up to fifty guests comfortably and most weekends through September are booked for hen groups and family gatherings. The first wedding reception is booked for June 2017.
Barnutopia will seek £15,000 via Crowdfunding so that work can be completed more quickly. The long barn and bathroom block are first on their list, followed by the addition of further glamping accommodation and the conversion of a second, smaller barn, for smaller weddings. With well over one hundred 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor and Facebook, Katrina and Steve Boydon, co-owners, are confident that their wedding venue will be a success. Katrina said,
“We thought we would set up as a wedding venue in a year or two, but everything has fallen into place for us to start now. Crowdfunding will allow us to get a head start on some projects that might otherwise have stayed on the backburner.”
Investors may pledge at from £25 to £1,000 and as a reward will receive heavily discounted glamping or venue hire that more than covers their initial outlay. Each investor will also receive a Barnutopia T-shirt. Currently, venue hire starts from £925 for up to 60 guests for 2 nights midweek and increases to £1,975 for up to 120 guests for a weekend.
